Programme Overview

The Owner–Manager Programme is designed for business owners and managing directors who are already operating SMEs and seek to improve control, performance, and sustainability. Unlike startup-focused programmes, this programme concentrates on strengthening existing enterprises through improved governance, financial discipline, operational systems, and strategic clarity.

The programme recognises the realities of owner-managed businesses, including time pressure and resource constraints. Learning is therefore practical, decision-focused, and immediately applicable to participants’ own organisations.

Learning Experience and Practical Application

Participants work directly on their businesses throughout the programme, using structured diagnostic tools to identify weaknesses and growth constraints. Sessions focus on real managerial decisions such as pricing, cash flow management, delegation, process improvement, and risk management.

Peer learning plays a central role, allowing participants to learn from shared experiences across industries. Faculty-led clinics and mentoring sessions ensure that concepts translate into implemented changes rather than theoretical understanding.

Expected Outcomes and Graduate Capabilities

Graduates complete the programme with significantly improved visibility and control over their business operations. They are able to interpret financial information for decision-making, design basic governance structures, and reduce over-dependence on the owner for daily operations.

The capstone project demonstrates tangible improvement within the participant’s SME. Completion indicates readiness to move from survival-driven management to deliberate, structured, and sustainable enterprise leadership.
